A person gets up in the morning, opens LinkedIn during breakfast, – and here they come again, the successful people themselves…
One writes that they have raised a million dollars for their startup. The other uploads a photo where they smile next to the president of a superpower. The third has entered into a strategic partnership with a global tycoon.
It is supposed to inspire, but this excess of ubiquitous prosperity can simply get you down. I even want to anxiety eat, because if everyone is so brilliant, what’s wrong with me? Only later it turns out that this million obtained is a loan with a pledge of the parents’ house from the usurer, which no one in their right mind wanted to take. The photo with the president came after 4 hours of waiting in line to be able to take a selfie in 7 seconds even without shaking hands. The strategic partnership, in turn, is the result of signing up for a free program where you only need to fill out the form to apply…
What we read here is often nothing more than fairy tales for adults created by people who want to sell something. Real business doesn’t look like that, it’s just a narrative. It is worth remembering this for your own mental health. It is better to go back to breakfast. Enjoy your meal!
The comment section joined the table:
And really, who would want to read about failures, bankruptcies, etc. all the time?
– Tomáš Sikora, Sales Manager at Stavario
‘I am thrilled to announce…’ – who cares?
– Filip Samczuk, Managing Partner at Well Done Business
At the end of the day, while we’re here, we accept it. We agree, don’t we?
– Grzegorz Dobromiński, IT Director & CISO at Euvic Performance
And that’s why it is worth opening an actual literary work for breakfast. Literature does not pretend to be the truth, and how many truths it contains!
– Anna Marks, Communications Officer at Narodowe Forum Muzyki
And why LinkedIn at breakfast? Need for some virtual company?
– Małgorzata Klimczyk, General Director and CEO at PERŁA Szkolenia i Coaching
Since the majority does so and the majority reads it, it is apparently worth it. Your first impression: ‘what’s wrong with me?’ As a result: someone is better, it is worth buying their advice / training, cooperating. And business goes on, so this is what business looks like. 🙂
– Ewa Waszkiewicz, Psychologist and Consultant at Pracownia Waszkiewicz
Why should something be wrong with you at that moment? The golden rule is not to compare yourself to others. So much is said about mindfulness, but nothing really comes of it, which is a pity.
– Agnieszka Kierlańczyk, Program and Marketing Specialist at Praga-Południe Sports and Recreation Center
