  • Another edition of SeedBlink’s Fire Pitch of the Week will take place on September 2nd
  • As usual, the pitching event will take place online via Zoom
  • The pitching startup of the day is FlairMakers

On September 2nd, the famous Romanian crowd investment platform SeedBlink continues its series of regular online events where startups that are currently fundraising on the platform get the chance to highlight themselves better before potential investors, as well as the general public. This time, the scene belongs to FlairMakers – the Romanian-British gig economy / freelance platform for the luxury segment of the hospitality industry.

Eric Bartha, Head of Revenue at SeedBlink

SeedBlink is a co-investment platform that provides tech startups from Romania, CEE, and beyond, with an opportunity to raise additional funds from smaller investors. The regular ticket size in a SeedBlink campaign is as affordable as EUR 2,500 or EUR 1,000 for Club members, but the campaigning startups have a possibility to adjust it further.

Among other advantages, a SeedBlink campaign is a perfect opportunity for a startup to engage its customers as stakeholders.

The platform’s most famous portfolio companies include Dronamics, Rayscape (ex-XVision), and Bright Spaces.

As for FlairMakers, it is the London-based startup with a Romanian founder that presents a platform that connects international gig workers from the hospitality industry with top-tier British employers, thus combatting the acute problem of talent shortage. The uniqueness of the platform lies in its worker-first approach as it guarantees instant payouts and takes care of providing additional training.

FlairMakers’ founder and CEO Raluca Epureanu has successfully enlisted the support of such names as Dragos Anastasiu of Eurolines, Marius Bostan of Re:Patriot, Marius Ghenea of Catalyst Romania, Gerrit Gräf of JW Marriott, Dragos Petrescu of Citi Grill Group and more. This is one of the factors that allowed the startup, only two months old, gain paying customers so soon.

The young startup is raising a Pre-Seed round of GBP 150K. The startup’s crowd investment campaign on SeedBlink is part of the Community Stars program. This presupposes the minimum ticket of EUR 500 (mind the EUR/GBP conversion rate) to encourage the startup’s own network to take part in the campaign.

On September 2nd at 16:00 EEST / 15:00 CET, Ms Epureanu will present the project and be available for an extended Q&A. SeedBlink’s head of revenue Eric Bartha will be the moderator of the evening. All the interested investors are welcome to join here.
