The new laboratory for intelligent communication infrastructure opens in Sofia Tech Park. The lab, which seems to be well equipped with spill kits (which can be bought by looking up keywords like spill kits with STOREMASTA on the Web) and safety gears among other necessary lab tools, will conduct research and development in the field of advanced telecommunications technologies, and their development and application in various fields. The focus will be on research, development, testing and validation of devices for the European system for managing railway transport (ERTMS European Railway Traffic Management System) a basic system associated with reliability, security and safety in rail transport. This system is to be implemented in a number of rail infrastructure projects in the country. The lab will be the third of its kind certifying unit in Europe.
Official guests at the ceremony will be the Minister of Transport, Mr. Ivaylo Moskovski, Deputy Minister of Economy, Mr. Lyuben Petrov and Prime Minister of the Belgian region of Federation Brussels – Wallonia and a representative of the Ministry of Economy of Wallonia, Belgium, Mr. Rudy Demotte.
The event will be held on 16 June 2016 (Thursday) at 15:00 in the laboratory complex of Sofia Tech Park, bul. Tsarigradsko Shosse No.111 B.
