On 20th and 21st of September 2017 in Warsaw Sheraton Hotel will take place the sixth edition of Smart City Forum, the Poland’s biggest smart city initiative. The conference will gather 600 participants, including mayors, numerous representatives of the Marshal Offices, local administration, and business.
Smart City Forum is a response to the transformation which takes place on a global scale affecting life and functioning in urban areas. Following different ways of development of other European cities as well as availability of more innovative solutions, the aim of the Forum is to create possibilities for Polish cities and suppliers to exchange knowledge and co-operate, what will be motivation for further evolution and improvement of the prevailing urban systems.
The guarantor of a high professional level of the event is the Advisory Board, chaired by Mariusz Gaca (Vice President of Orange Poland), which consists of 59 members, including 24 Presidents of Polish cities, 30 business representatives as well as experts and specialists in the field of smart city. Also Hanna Zdanowska (Mayor of Łódź), Robert Biedroń (Mayor of Słupsk), Tadeusz Truskolaski (Mayor of Białegostok), Arkadiusz Wiśniewski (Mayor of Opole) oraz Tadeusz Krzakowski (Mayor of Legnica).
During the first day of the conference topics such as Smart Infrastructure Management, Shared economy – sharing the resources of city infrastructure and Easy and Safe payments for city services are going to be discussed during keynote speech and panels by international speakers from all around the world. During the second day, the main focus will shift towards 5G, Electromobility and Energy clusters.
