Techritory 2026 will take place on October 21–22nd at Riga’s ATTA Centre, bringing Europe’s digital security, technological sovereignty and competitiveness into focus amid escalating geopolitical tensions and growing technological dependencies. The 9th annual forum is expected to welcome more than 600 speakers and guests, including policymakers, industry leaders, researchers and innovators, for discussions on the strategic challenges shaping Europe’s future. Through high-level roundtables, interactive workshops, and sessions across two main stages, the event will explore how international cooperation can strengthen security, resilience and technological independence.

From Future Tech Showcase to Strategic Action

Techritory has evolved from a platform for emerging technology trends into a forum focused on turning innovation into practical action. The 2026 edition will examine how governments, telecom operators, technology companies and research institutions can respond to shared security challenges while protecting Europe’s long-term competitiveness. Its agenda spans digital sovereignty, defense technology, AI infrastructure, next-generation connectivity and international digital partnerships.

‘Nearly ten years ago, Techritory started as a showcase for future tech. Today, that future is here. We’ve grown from forecasting innovation to mobilizing real-world action, bringing decision-makers together to ensure emerging technology serves European security, strength, and progress,’ Neils Kalnins, Director of Techritory Ecosystem, recollects.

Europe’s Digital Sovereignty and Security Agenda

A central theme of Techritory 2026 will be Europe’s ability to develop, control and secure the technologies underpinning its economy and critical infrastructure. Discussions will address the challenge of scaling defense technology, strengthening digital resilience and reducing dependencies that could leave European industries and institutions exposed to external risks. The Forum will also consider how European and transatlantic cooperation can turn shared priorities into coordinated initiatives.

Another key topic will be the rapid expansion of AI infrastructure and its implications for energy systems. As demand for data centers grows, participants will examine how investment in computing capacity can be balanced against grid constraints and the need for reliable energy supplies. The agenda also explores independent satellite networks, telecom integration under the proposed Digital Networks Act and the roadmap towards 6G connectivity.

Global Leaders and International Delegations Take the Stage

The speaker lineup features senior representatives from international institutions, public administration and the technology sector. Confirmed speakers named by the organizers include:

Official delegations from Moldova and the United Arab Emirates, as well as representatives from Central Asia, will reflect the event’s expanding geopolitical reach. Their participation will support discussions on shared technology priorities and new opportunities for cross-border cooperation.
