NCBR invites Polish game developers to GAMEINN

The National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR) announces GAMEINN competitions to support the development and inventiveness of the Polish game developers. Video gaming companies will be able to seek to fund from a pool of PLN 80 million in GAMEINN competition.

“The industry is a solid foundation of the Polish economy. We want to strengthen it by investing in its most promising sectors. Development must be based on science resources so that the Polish economy shifts from imitative into innovative.  We will achieve expected results thanks to a synergy of economic and science potential.” says Minister of Science and Higher Education Jarosław Gowin.

Supporting Polish producers of video games, GAMEINN program was created at the request of the Polish Video Games Agreement, represented by CD PROJEKT, the creators of best-selling “The Witcher”. Other significant players in this sector are Techland, CI Games, Artifex Mundi, Vivid Games, 11-bit studios, Bloober Team, The Farm 51, Fuero Games.
Resources under the GAMEINN program are going to be used for the design and development of technologies such as the construction of cross-platform graphic engines, real images mapping, 3D modeling for the needs of vast virtual worlds or the application of Artificial Intelligence in video games. Businesses operating in the gaming industry will be able to apply for R&D funding from 1 June to 16 August 2016. The competition is open to companies or consortia of companies submitting projects worth between PLN 500,000 and PLN 20 million.
