- Another edition of SeedBlink’s Fire Pitch of the Week will take place on December 2nd
- As usual, the pitching event will take place online via Zoom
- The pitching company of the day is Mewery
On December 2nd, the famous Romanian co-investment platform SeedBlink continues its series of regular online events where startups that are currently fundraising on the platform highlight themselves better before potential investors, as well as the general public. This time, the stage belongs to Mewery – the Czech-based global food and deep-tech innovator revolutionizing meat production with a proprietary co-culture method of animal and microalgae cells, creating healthier, scalable, and sustainable meat alternatives.
SeedBlink is a crowd investment platform that provides tech startups from Romania, CEE, and beyond, with an opportunity to raise additional funds from smaller investors. The regular ticket size in a SeedBlink campaign is as affordable as EUR 2,500 or EUR 1,000 for Club members, but the campaigning startups have a possibility to customize it further.
Among other advantages, a SeedBlink campaign is a perfect opportunity for a startup to engage its customers as stakeholders.
The platform’s most famous portfolio companies include Dronamics, FlowX.AI, .lumen, and Bright Spaces.
As for Mewery, it is a pioneering food/deep-tech company focused on creating sustainable alternatives to conventional meat. They utilize a proprietary co-culture method that combines animal cells with microalgae, leveraging the strengths of both to enhance yield, improve nutritional content, and reduce environmental impact.
Mewery is the only company globally capable of cultivating pig cells in this innovative manner. Their technology aims to address ethical concerns surrounding traditional meat production while ensuring scalability and sustainability.
Based in Brno, the Czech Republic, Mewery is positioning itself as a leader in the alternative protein industry, offering solutions that meet consumer demands for healthful, ethical, and planet-friendly food options. Their approach integrates cutting-edge cellular agriculture with a commitment to revolutionizing food systems for the future.
Such renowned funds as Credo Ventures, Purple Ventures, and Big Idea Ventures have supported the startup.
On December 2nd at 16:00 EEST / 15:00 CET, Mewery’s founder and CEO Roman Laus will present the project and be available for an extended Q&A. SeedBlink’s regional manager DACH Ronald Rapberger will be the moderator of the evening. All the interested investors are welcome to join here.
