This November, JackSEO—the Poznan-based AI-driven SEO/GEO platform—went live. Started earlier this year, the startup helps brands stay visible and competitive by turning current news and trends into optimized content for both search engines like Google and generative AI engines like ChatGPT.
From Comms Background to a Product for the Google-to-ChatGPT Era

Damian Wielechowski, Co-Founder at JackSEO
The co-founders Damian Wielechowski and Jan Follendorf met while working together at SpeedUp Venture Capital Group where the former was managing communications and the latter was an investment analyst. Almost two years ago, the two first decided to build something of their own and co-founded Commly, a PR agency for startups and technology companies that supports brands from Poland and across Europe, strengthening their communications and visibility in both local and international markets.
‘In our daily work with clients, our team very often relied on newsjacking, which means creating content based on real-time events, industry trends or widely discussed topics. This approach consistently delivered great results across PR efforts and company blogs. However, it’s also incredibly time-consuming and demands constant monitoring of breaking news and market signals. Naturally, we started thinking about how to automate this process, without losing the contextual value that makes it so powerful. Around that time, we brought in our friend Michał Mańkus, an experienced tech engineer with over a decade of experience in international IT projects, who helped us turn the concept into reality,’ Mr Wielechowski recalls.
Together, they refined the vision behind JackSEO, combining newsjacking, SEO, and AI optimization to help brands build and maintain visibility where it truly matters today, from Google to ChatGPT. The background in venture capital, communications, and tech became a crucial contribution to the team’s perspective and capabilities to build a product that’s not only highly functional but also scalable.
Early Traction and Strong User and Investor Interest

Kuba Dudek, Partner at S20 Fund, Partner at SpeedUp Venture Capital Group, Angel Investor
JackSEO was incorporated only this May, and its first few months have quite expectedly turned out a fast-paced ride. The first funding round with business angels was closed in just about two weeks, which allowed us to accelerate development, launch faster, and move forward without additional pressure.
‘Investing as early as Pre-Seed is mainly based on the team members and overall team composition. With JackSEO, I had this unique opportunity to invest in the team I had known and worked with for years at SpeedUp VC. Moreover, both Jan and Damian have been deep in the PR domain with their previous agency business, and Michal’s addition as a CTO served as yet another confirmation,’ angel investor Kuba Dudek (of SpeedUp Venture Capital Group) tells ITKeyMedia.
Just a couple of weeks after going live, JackSEO can already boast about having gathered over 250 users, strongly signaling that the solution is both real and relevant.
‘As for challenges, we haven’t encountered any major roadblocks so far. A lot of that comes down to the team: we’re aligned, move fast, and communicate openly, which helps us avoid many of the typical early-stage headaches. Naturally, we still deal with the usual startup challenges like prioritizing features, making tough product calls, and juggling trade-offs, but nothing that’s meaningfully slowed us down,’ Mr Follendorf shares.
SEO and AI in a Unified Landscape
JackSEO appears to be marketed as optimizing for tomorrow’s AI as opposed to regular SEO tools optimizing for today’s algorithms. However, the team begs to differ and doesn’t frame its platform as a choice between one or the other. As Mr Wielechowski observes, traditional SEO is still extremely important and very much alive, while the early steps of GEO look surprisingly similar as one still requires relevant, high-quality content that reflects real user intent.
‘What’s changing is simply how that content gets discovered. The GEO space is evolving quickly, and our approach is to build a product that adapts to these changes as they happen, rather than betting everything on a single future scenario. We see our role not as predicting the future, but helping brands stay flexible as search transforms,’ Mr Wielechowski specifies.
Educating the Market and Empowering SEO Agencies

Jan Follendorf, Co-Founder at JackSEO
Market education certainly has a role to play, but seeing how the SEO ecosystem is both massive and active, freelancers, agencies, consultants, creators, and tool providers are all pushing the conversation forward, and JackSEO becomes part of this global movement. As its own contribution, the startup intends to launch learning resources under JackSEO Academy and share practical guidance on creating content that works both for today’s SEO and for tomorrow’s AI-driven search models. The goal is to make the transition easier instead of forcing a new mindset overnight.
Mr Follendorf emphasizes that innovative technologies like JackSEO’s don’t threaten traditional SEO agencies and content teams but rather complement them. While the platform overlaps with part of the SEO market, it positions itself as a partner rather than a competitor. Agencies bring strategy, expertise, and client relationships, and JackSEO empowers them with speed, scalability, and the ability to react to news and trends in real time.
A Bridge Between Google and ChatGPT and the Future of Search
‘That’s why we built agency plans from day one. Our goal is to empower agencies and marketing teams, not replace them. We want to help them deliver more value to their clients, especially as the search landscape evolves and the expectations around SEO and LLM visibility continue to grow,’ Mr Follendorf states.
Thus, the team likes to describe JackSEO as a bridge between Google and ChatGPT. Describing the vision of the future convergence between search engines and generative engines and JackSEO’s role in shaping that landscape, Mr Mańkus shares a firm belief in the hybrid nature of the future of search.
In this future, traditional search engines like Google retain their key role to play, while a growing share of information discovery is shifting toward generative platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, or Perplexity.
‘Users are no longer satisfied with just a list of links. What they want is direct, contextual answers delivered instantly. JackSEO is built for this shift. Users can either generate content based on their own ideas, or choose from suggestions we surface using real-time news and trends, all optimized to perform well in both ecosystems,’ Mr Mańkus points out.
On the Google side, this means fresh and relevant SEO-driven content. In AI-powered search, this involves providing structured, authoritative input that language models can pick up and use in their answers. JackSeo’s role here is to make it easy for companies of any size to stay visible and relevant in this evolving dual search environment.
Toward a Genuinely Intuitive Discovery Experience

Michał Mańkus, Co-Founder at JackSEO
‘We want to help brands create content that actually matters, not just content that ranks. As we succeed, online discovery becomes faster, more intuitive, and more aligned with real user intent. Instead of scrolling through endless links, people will receive clearer and more contextual answers, and brands with genuine expertise will naturally appear within those answers,’ Mr Mańkus summarizes.
‘In this sense, human curiosity doesn’t shrink — it expands. What shrinks is the path from a question to genuine understanding, and exploring new topics becomes easier. When discovery feels more natural, people are more likely to dig deeper, ask better questions, and engage with content that actually adds value,’ he concludes.
As search evolves toward a blend of traditional engines and AI-driven answer models, it is hybrid approaches like JackSEO’s that position emerging players at the forefront of this shift. By uniting classic SEO with new GEO principles, they help brands stay visible in spaces where discovery increasingly happens. In doing so, platforms like JackSEO are shaping the future of search.
