Revolution is coming – the first edition of the BlockchainTech Congress

On the 27th and 28th of March 2018, at The Westin Warsaw Hotel, the first large Congress dedicated to blockchain technology in this part of Europe took place. The debut edition of the BlockchainTech Congress was attended by 676 participants during the two days.

At the start, conference guests had the possibility to listen to the professional speech of Caterina Ferrara, Blockchain Ladies Founder, ICO Advisor & Community Manager. There was also an occasion to learn more about the basics of blockchain technology and understand its operation, thanks to a simulation ran by Norbert Biedrzycki, Chairman of the Advisory Board, as well as Robert Kałuża, Co-Founder & COO, Billon.

The conference was directed at the aspect of practical implementation of blockchain technology, offering the participants debates with experts, workshops and case studies. The speakers spoke about topics such as the implementation of blockchain in transport, insurance or the energy sector.

During the second day of the conference, participants could choose between two thematic paths. The first path was about regulation and security in the sectors which use blockchain technology, and the second was about cryptocurrencies and was aimed at the investment sector. The conference was a platform for the exchange of thoughts and experience, showing the huge potential of blockchain technology, which could completely change the majority of business sectors, and show us what stage of using this technology we are currently at.
