Next edition of Hardware Massive- an event dedicated to hardware startup community- will be coming to Reduta Banku Polskiego in Warsaw on April 7th. The attendees are required to purchase tickets which are already available here. The event is hosted by Arkley VC and Hardware Massive. The topic of the conference is “From prototype to IPO” which will cover the whole path of creating a hardware startup.

Hardware Massive is the biggest event dedicated to hardware startups in this part of Europe. The hosts are expecting over 400 guests from all around the CEE region. Most of the speakers are figures associated with Silicon Valley community with whom Arkley VC has been building good relations for years. Due to the weight of the event, which previously took place in San Francisco, Warsaw has a potential to become a local hub for hardware startup and build a lasting bridge with Silicon Valley.

The conference will feature:

  • series of lectures that will discuss the path that startups have to go through from the beginning (prototype) to an end (production) as well as the subject of financing them,
  • pitch contest,
  • demo room in which guests will be able to meet the best hardware startups of the CEE region.

The tickets for the event are available here. |  Startups can apply for the pitch contest here.

Lectures

The all-day conference will consist of a series of lectures and panel discussions. Some of the participants of the event are: Alan Clayton – Business Developer at SOSV (the owner of HAX – the World’s largest accelerator dedicated to hardware startups); Anurag Khilnani – Head of Business Development at Amazon Launchpad; Pascal Condamine – Project Evangelist at Indiegogo; Dana Madlem – VP Services at Rush Order; Bastian Bergmann – CEO at WATTx; Ivan Marandola – CEO at iWaboo; Kurt Dammermann – VP at Highway1.

“The guests of this conference represent all of the most important elements of hardware startup ecosystem. We chose people who can be of real help to our attendees and who are able to share their great experience. We invited the members of Silicon Valley community with whom we maintain good relations because we are aware of their vast knowledge in certain areas. That is why we have speakers who know everything about the early phase of creating a startup (i.a. Kurt Dammermann), evaluation (Pascal Condamine), sales (Anurag Khilnani, Ivan Marandola), distribution (Dana Madlem) and finally, financing (Alan Clayton).” says Agnieszka Poznanska, Investment Manager at Arkley VC.

Pitch contest

Beyond the main stage, a pitch contest will also take place during the conference. 10 best startups of CEE region will be given an opportunity compete for the prize of a ticket for TechCrunch Disrupt and a chance to receive €250,000 in funding from Arkley Venture Capital. Startups can already apply for the contest on the event’s website.

Startups will be evaluated by jury under the guidance of Piotr Wąsowski from Arkley Venture Capital.

“Startups that we are looking for are not necessarily companies with a finished product. Bold vision, that could seriously influence a certain industry is what matters the most. Surely we will also acknowledge the determination and ambition of founders – they are the key to the future success.” says Piotr Wąsowski, Managing Partner at Arkley VC.

Demo room

Furthermore, guests will also be able to meet the best CEE region hardware startups in the demo room zone. Those will include the participants of the pitch contest as well as other closely selected startups.
