The 11th edition of TestCon Europe will examine AI-powered testing, automation, security, accessibility and the changing role of quality engineering in Vilnius on October 20–23rd. The Conference brings software testing and QA professionals to Lithuania for four days of workshops, technical sessions, keynotes and networking. In its 11th edition, the event will examine how AI, automation, and emerging technologies are changing the way software is tested, delivered and maintained.

The event expects more than 800 attendees from over 35 countries, with 60+ talks. The workshop day of October 20th will take place at Simbiocity Nova, while the main part of the Conference on October 21–23rd will be hosted at Vilnius’ Forum Cinemas Vingis and will also be available online.

How AI Is Reshaping Software Testing

Artificial intelligence will sit at the centre of TestCon Europe’s 2026 agenda, with sessions examining both the opportunities and challenges created by AI-assisted development and testing. The Conference will look at AI-powered test automation, LLM, and AI-agent testing, natural-language test generation, automated test maintenance, and the need for human oversight and reliable quality signals.

Adam Sandman, CEO and Founder of Inflectra, will open the conference with his keynote Adapting QA for the AI-Driven SDLC. A panel titled From Hype to ROI: What AI Is Really Changing in Software Testing will further examine the practical impact of AI on testing, while sessions throughout the event will address Claude Code, LLM-powered QA workflows, and AI-driven automation.

Testing AI systems themselves will be another major focus, reflecting the challenges posed by software that does not always behave deterministically. Sessions will cover RAG systems, hallucination and source-grounding checks, agent actions and permissions, production monitoring, model risk and quality gates for AI-driven workflows.

From Automation to Quality Engineering

TestCon Europe 2026 will look beyond individual testing tools to examine how quality engineering is becoming a broader organizational capability. Topics will include TestOps, CI/CD, risk-based testing, release quality, test data engineering, performance and reliability, as well as metrics connecting software quality with business outcomes.

The schedule reflects this wider approach with sessions such as Test Automation That Matters: Real-World Lessons From the Battlelines at ING, Quality Engineering as a Strategic Advantage – Learnings From Wolt and SOK, and Cost of Quality: Where QA Ethics Meets Economics. Other talks will explore synthetic test data, backend automation, test management and ways of capturing critical system knowledge before experienced specialists leave.

Performance and reliability will form another strand of the programme, with load testing, observability, scalability and distributed tracing appearing across the agenda. Chris Harbert of Testery will close the final conference day with Capturing the Mythical Green Build, looking at the challenge of achieving consistently reliable end-to-end test runs.

Security, Accessibility, and Responsible Quality

Security and compliance will receive dedicated attention as software teams increasingly need to incorporate security evidence into everyday testing. The conference will address security evidence from functional tests, runtime application security testing, privacy reviews for AI systems, regulatory readiness and audit-ready traceability.

Accessibility will similarly be approached as part of software quality rather than as a final-stage compliance exercise. Sessions including Accessibility in the AI Era: A Practical Approach for Creating and Testing Accessible Web Applications and AI in Accessibility: Dangerous Auditor or Genius Assistant? will examine where automation can help and where human evaluation remains essential.

The programme also places considerable emphasis on trust, communication and sustainable team practices. A panel on The Human Side of Quality: Burnout, Pressure, and Psychological Safety will examine the organizational pressures facing QA professionals, while other sessions will explore leadership, documentation, communication and influencing product decisions without formal authority.

Hands-On Workshops and International Speakers

The Conference will open with seven full-day workshops covering practical challenges across modern testing and quality engineering. Participants can choose sessions on ephemeral environments, AI bug hunting with GPT and Claude, tool selection, test engineering, quality engineering, load testing and observability, or accessibility testing in the AI era.

The international speaker lineup includes such names as Serge Baumberger of Infometis and Vitaly Sharovatov of Qase, alongside QA and engineering specialists from organizations including BrowserStack, CUJO AI, Tango Me, Sollers Consulting, Nedap, and Testkube. Speakers from more than a dozen countries will contribute perspectives spanning technical testing, leadership, AI, automation and software quality.
